Another Exciting Day @ Work
Well, today was just a typical day at work. Nothing exciting. Had about 100 e-mails that I had left over from yesterday. I'm still trying to catch up from being gone for 4 days, fun times indeed. Other than that, nothing major, no power outages, no properties having server issues, and no problems at Corporate. Still trying to figure out how to implement a new software application at all 16 properties but I'm sure it will come to me. Tomorrow should be a short day with it being New Year's Eve, so I'm really looking forward to that. Suppose to go out with the guys from work to a new bar. It's suppose to be a $30 cover and an open bar so we shall see. Hopefully, I'll be able to focus and take some good pictures from us having fun. Well that does it for today. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!!!!

Christmas with my parents and sister
Well, I finally got to go home and spend some time with my parents and my sister's family. I enjoyed myself tremendously. I haven't been home in about severals years and definitely not since I have moved to St. Louis, MO. Mostly due to the fact of the distance. It's a 13+ hour drive, which is a little hard on this ole man's body. But I finally decided to go and I'm very happy that I did. I have attached some pictures of the festivities of my neices and nephew opening up gifts Christmas morning. Didn't get any pictures of my patents, they weren't camera friendly this time, sorry!!! Hope you enjoy them all!!

Freezzing My Ass Off
This is unbelievable. Yesterday it was freakin 5 degree's outside. For the love of all that's holy, who the hell pissed off Mother Nature. Someone please tell me so I can sit them down and kick them in the face. This is unbelievable, I can't believe it. Now I truly understand what a freakin ice cube feels like sittin in a freezer all day long. No wonder they melt when u take them out, they probably don't know how to handle the damn warmth. Damn the snow and the ice, this is ridiculous. I use to love them both when I was young but now I hate them both. No Mr. Frosty, No Rudolph and no fat man in a little red suit could survive in elements like this. I think all of those stories about Santa at the North Pole were a lie. I think he bought some remote island sipping on Pina Colada's laughing at everyone and just gets his mail forwarding. Smart ole man if I don't say so myself. Wish I could work for him. Well that concludes my entry for today. I hope every else is enjoying nice pleasant weather. As for me, I'm stuck in the great state of Misery suffering and trying to bundle up. Later all... oh by the way.. please pray for me if you don't mind so I don't freeze to death. Jeeeezzzz!!!!

Awesome Video
Came across this video on YouTube and I had to share it. This is a 17 year old kid showing off his moves that he learned from watching America's Best Dance Crew on MTV. The name of the group that he is coping is called JabbaWakeez and they won the show during the first season I believe. The first video is the actual group performing and the second video is the 17 year old mimicing them. Enjoy them both, I did!!!!

Look's Like I'm Really Sick Again
Well, this happens to be one of those post's that I hate to make. I'm sick again, unfortunately. I left work Thursday and haven't been back since. It's Sunday now and I'm still sick. I seem to be getting better, the chills are gone and the fever but I haven't been able to get rid of the very violent cough or the sinus drainage/congestion. I'm also very tired but I believe that's from not getting enough oxygen. I've been taking Afrin, Hall's Cough drops, Alka-Setzer cold medicine and Actified and none of them seem to be working that well. I do know that I fell asleep Friday night and woke up Saturday morning drenched in sweat so it appears that I got rid of the fever by sweating it out. I'll update everyone to my status once I return from the doctor tomorrow. Until then, everyone please keep your fingers crossed that it's not the flu for heaven's sake. Until next time. Hopefully it will be a more jovial and happy post then this one.

Thanksgiving Day Thoughts

Well, once again Thanksgiving has come and gone. All the festivities, mass quantities of turkey, dressing, ham and other tasty amenities as well as the after dinner naps from eating too much that take place during the football games. I decided to stay home this year and celebrate by myself and rest. I cooked the 14lb turkey that my employer generously gave us this year along with dresssing, rice, gravy, early peas, sweet corn, candied yams, rolls and sweet tea with homemade cheesecake that I recieved from my VP's mom. It was a very interesting and relaxing time. I woke up early Thursday morning and placed the turkey in the oven and preceded to play World of Warcraft while it was cooking. Finally the time arrived to take it out and I realized that it had not reached that golden brown color that most turekys get when done. Oh, what to do now. After comtemplating for several minutes and scratching my head as to what I did wrong. I decided to pick up the phone and give the greatest chef I know a call, my dad. Okay, dad, I cooked a turkey and for some reason it's not brown, what did I do wrong. After having to listening to a very deliberate laugh, he explained that I needed to remove the foil and turn the oven on broil. After doing this, I reached that golden brown texture that I was looking for. Then with much delight I finished making all of the side dishes and sat down to stuff my little grumbling stomach as I watched The Incredible Hulk on my Xbox 360. After eating and taking several naps during the movie I then decided to get up and about and cleaned up my monstronsity of a mess I made while cooking and preceded to play some more World of Warcraft. Well I hope everyone had a very wonderful and safe Thanksgivng Holidays and that all of your families are doing well and safely return home. Until next time.Monday, November 10, 2008
Remember The Reservoir Dogs!!!!
Well I'm torn about posting this!!! I don't know whether I'm happy or sad that the season is over. We finally concluded our touch football season this past Saturday, by losing to the number 1 seed in the tournament 18-0. We gave a great effort but were unable to pull off the upset. It was a very harsh 34 degree's that morning also. I gave every effort to get everyone hype and ready to play on the frozen tundra but to no avail. By the 3rd series by fingers were completely numb and had a hard time gripping the ball and eventually gave way to Rob N. to quarterback since he had gloves. I did however accomplish not throwing an interception this week which is a first for me. Being banged up all season, I was never ever able to get into any type of groove throwing wise and definitely not running. The fear of injuring myself was always in the back of my mind. But anyway, it was a fun season. Rob N. threw a party for the team at his home and we all looked back on the season and laughed and had a good time. Everyone is looking forward to next year with plans of being better prepared and ready to go. Plus we ended on a good note, we showed up for every game never forfeiting one and each and everyone of us gave his all. Goood times indeed!!!!!

Very Sloooooow Week
Needless to say, I haven't posted anything lately due to the fact that this has been an unbearably slow week. Not much going on, not much happening. Figures, the story of my life. No touch football game this weekend, thank god. I think everyone needed a break to lick their wounds and recuperate from the season. Next week, the playoffs start and hopefully a winning streak for us. Hey a guy gotta have some dreams to hang on to right, lol. Anyway I just wanted to check in and give a quick update on the life I lead. You know keep everyone in the loop. I'll update again over the weekend, maybe something exciting and unexpected will occur that will peak mine and other's curiosity.

Couldn't Resist
Well, since the main purpose of this blog is to document Courtney's Adventures, I figured I'd throw a couple pics of him at an Oktoberfest in Soulard, MO from back in '06. As you can tell from the pics, Courtney had a great time. "Zicke, zacke, zicke, zacke, hoi, hoi, hoi!!!"

Man, we had a blast that night! And seeing Courtney dancing in the middle of a bunch of drunk Germans was priceless!!

Touch Football Game Today
Well the game is over and I'm home battered and bruised as usual except this time more so to my ego than my body. I didn't play very well which is really disappointing considering this is the first time I actually felt healthy and was able to run well. I completed very few passes for very little yardage and on top of that I threw an interception that was returned for a TD. The final score was 25-0 therefore we complete the regular season winless 0-7. Next week we get a bye and then the playoffs start. We will be faced with having to play the #2 seed. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that we get hot and are able to run the table. It's happened before with teams struggling and it could happen again. Well that concludes the entry for today regarding the football game.

Touch Football Season
Tomorrow, October 25 @ 12:45pm, I have a touch football game. This is a team that we started made up of the associates that I work with. We have been struggling the entire season, but that was expected since none of us have really played any organized sports for several years. I have been assigned the task of being the quarterback and needless to say my mind is finally beginning to listen to my body and agree that I am out of shape. I have been hobbled almost the entire season with a strain hamstring which finally by the grace of god started to feel good during the last game. So far we are winless with only 1 game left to play. Our current record is 0-6. Fortunately every team makes the playoffs so we are guaranteed at least one additional game with the completion of the regular season. I will update the site at the conclusion of the game tomorrow.
